Die fetale Wachstumskontrolle ist eine Ultraschalluntersuchung, die beurteilt, wie sich der F\u00f6tus entwickelt, an Gewicht zunimmt und w\u00e4chst. Bei einer normalen Schwangerschaft wird ein Kontrollultraschall am besten zwischen der 28. und 32. Schwangerschaftswoche durchgef\u00fchrt. Das rechtzeitige Erkennen von Wachstumsverz\u00f6gerungen oder vorzeitigem fetalem Wachstum tr\u00e4gt zu einem besseren Ausgang einer gef\u00e4hrdeten Schwangerschaft bei.<\/p>

Der Fetus wird gemessen (BPD- biparietaler Durchmesser, ein Kopfdurchmesser in der H\u00f6he der Schatten, HC-Kopfumfang, AC-Abdomenumfang, Fl-Femurl\u00e4nge), sein aktuelles Gewicht wird bestimmt, Entwicklung (Morphologie), Plazentaqualit\u00e4t, Fruchtwassermenge kann \u00fcberpr\u00fcft werden, auch Blutfluss in der Nabelschnur. Anhand dieser Messungen beurteilen wir, ob der F\u00f6tus f\u00fcr sein Gestationsalter angemessen w\u00e4chst, w\u00e4hrend wir noch einmal die Morphologie \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen; manchmal finden wir auch einen Entwicklungsfehler, der in der 22. Schwangerschaftswoche noch nicht sichtbar war.<\/p>
